On the first day of this month, each of us turns a page in the book of our life that begins a new chapter -- of 365 blank pages. How are you going to write your chapter? I'm at the stage in my life where I do not sit down on Jan 1 and make a long list of things I will accomplish, people I will see, or ways I want to act. Instead, I go inside my heart and let my intuition guide me; since I have learned to connect more deeply to my heart and understand what it wants for me, I can more clearly see my path and what I'm meant to do on it. The choices that lay before me to make are unambiguous and easier to make. Life is less of a struggle and more of gift, less draining and more fulfilling, less dark and much brighter.
This year, resolve to step out of your comfort zone. Don't spend another minute moving along on cruise control. Do something -- just for yourself -- that you have never done before. Elevate yourself from where you are and soar high. Make a new friend. Participate in a new activity. Move in a different direction. Only you can make it happen! Take a look at our on-going activities, which you can join at any time.
We started off the year right when Pim Sanders held his World Hypnosis Day Celebrations here on Jan 4.
Five of Montreal's best hypnotists spoke about and demonstrated various hypnosis techniques, which made for a wonderful afternoon of discovery. I came away with a few new tools for creating change in my life.
At the Centre, we have been working hard to make some big changes, some of which you can see this month. The Montreal HeartMath® Stress Reduction Clinic is now officially open at BelArôme! We are initially offering programs specially designed for specific groups of people. Last month we announced that we were taking clients who have or have had cardiac problems and teaching them how reducing their stress levels can increase their heart strength. This new integrative medicine program, developed in association with Dr. Mark Rabinovich, Montreal cardiologist, is gaining a lot of attention, and we have room available in our on-going program. Monthly, we will be offering free presentations about how HeartMath and, specifically, this program works. Our next presentation is on Thursday, Jan 23, 2014 (See sidebar for more info and call to reserve a place.).
We loved the free time that the holidays provided for us to spend more time with friends new or old. So, we are opening BelArôme one evening a month so that people can get together in an informal, relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for an entertaining evening.
Join us at 'Connections TeaRoom Café' to gather and talk with friends old and new. Listen to live acoustic music played by local musicians. Gourmet tea/coffee, desserts and snacks are available for purchase. Practitioners, Lightworkers, Neighbors -- You never know whom you may find at the Café! Please join us on Saturday, Jan 25, 2014 at 8:00 PM. Seating is limited, so reserve your place now. (See below for more info, and call to reserve your place).
We know that holidays can be difficult for those mourning the death of a loved one. This month, on Weds Jan 29, Kit Racette will host a Death Café, a safe place to discuss various aspects of death and grieving. Did some difficult issues come up during the holidays that are causing you stress? Kelly Roughton can help you get some focus and immediate relief. She is moving her monthly Stress-Busting Sessions (Tapping/EFT ) to Tuesday evenings beginning on Jan 14 at 7:30 PM; please note the new day and time.
In case you couldn't make it to the Centre because of the frigid weather, Suzana Da Costa, our resident astrologer, has kindly extended her holiday special through the month ofJanuary. She is offering a FREE 8-10 page printed report along with a color copy of your chart free of charge as part of your first session or with the purchase of a gift certificate for one session ($65). She made a chart for me, and I love it! Another practitioner, with whom I had a fabulous session, is Myriam Gittle Eliora, lightworker extraordinaire. Her work is dedicated to bringing the spirits/energies associated with you to your attention. I have to say that my work with her and these energies has transformed my life, and I am confident that, if you are ready, they can change yours too. If you'd like to experience her fantastic work, please call the Centre for her contact information.
For those of you who are Jewish, I will be leading a Jewish women's meditation group in conjunction with

Next month we will unveil our new website.
